Im a complete noob at ar15 platform. I am building my first one now and was wondering what would be the best delta ring kit for a varmint style ar. Is there a big difference in different kits? or are they all basically the same?

they are the same, but keep in mind if you plan to install a FF tube it may require the removal of the delta ring assembly. just food for thought.

You may not even need a delta ring. What type of handguard are you planning to use? Most handguards come with a proprietary barrel nut.

Im going to put a free float tube on. So explain why exactly i wont need a delta ring kit? sorry for the questions...

FF tubes don't use a delta ring, and in most cases use their own barrel nut.

The delta ring is what keeps the rear of the handguard in place. Free float handguards mount in a different way and don't use the delta ring.
