What manufacturer's upper has the best fit for the arfcom billet lower..?? I used a Vltor MUR1A on my first lower but I am not that impressed with the fit (gap) and its not nearly as tight as I would like it.
anyone have any suggestions on a different upper..?? I have 2 more arfcom lowers to build on, I dont want this same issue on all 3 of them... |
| Aero Precision COP uppers tend to fit pretty snug. I have 2 that I have tried on Top Notch Tactical Billet (Seekins), Tactical Machining, and Aero Precision lowers with good results. They look more like a forged upper, but I will be using a COP Midlength on my ar15.com billet SBR lower when it gets here. |

I'm a fan of the Rainier Arms Billet UltraMatch upper - good combo here. http://i105.photobucket.com/albums/m239/rgrhartley/ARFCOMBillet92.jpg http://i105.photobucket.com/albums/m239/rgrhartley/ARFCOMBillet93.jpg That's damn sexy! Thanks for posting! |

[That's damn sexy! Thanks for posting! No problem - it's a great combo, not just in looks. Rainier has some pretty tight machining tolerances for their billet stripped upper, and I was watching that thing from when they first announced it. As soon as the ARFCOM lowers came out, I knew what upper was going on there, and it works like they were machined together. Great combo. |

I know that I am going to be pissed if I have paid $1041 and waited all of these months to own a blue billet SBR lower. As much as these cost, one would think they might come in black. Say it ain't so |

They have a light film on them, I'm guessing something left over from the milling... I gave mine a nice bath in some warm soapy water and scrub down with a soft parts brush, blew them off with the air hose and they were nice and black... :-) Whew (HUGE sigh of relief!) |

I am hoping they release an upper or at least a stripped upper? Has anyone done the SBR lower yet? It appears that I may have one in about 4 more months
Waiting on mine as well... ![]() Well.... it makes me feel better to know that I am not alone It will be worth the wait.

I was actually looking to do an SBR build with this lower as well. I second the pic request! eta - Where's stick when you need him? While I appreciate the thought, I'm no help on this one. I own a few Magpul lowers, but none of the ARFCOM lowers. Well i think you need to change that.. I'll trade you an ARFCOM for a Magpul.. wadaya say? |
