Hello all, i've been lurking around here for quite some time trying to learn as much as i can about the AR platform. After about a year of researching, i bought myself a Spikes Tactical ST-15 Mid-Length. So far i've only got 100 rounds through her but i'm in love

Just wanted to thank all of you guys out here for all the info.

Nice simple setup.

Next step would be a sling, some extra mags, and a beginner level carbine class.

That's a nice mid-length bro. You can't go wrong with Spikes. I did a lot of research before I bought my second AR. I sold a Colt to fund a Recce build off of a basic Spikes rifle. I never plan on getting rid of it. Its a reliable tack driver. Keep us posted when you decide to modify it. We know you will.

good choice...are you going to keep it KISS? i would...i have come full circle on my AR...added all the doo dads and came back to the carry handle irons sights and basic rail.

What is there to mount in place of a charging handle?  I guess he is screwed if he removes it!

Just keep it simple until you feel like you've mastered iron sights.

You'll end up with a lot more dough for ammo

Great choice for a first rifle!

I like it a lot!!!!

Possable grip change down the road.

That thing would look killer with a compact ACOG on
the carry handle.

Good to go with the middy on your first build. Wish
I had done tyhe same.

Nice,
kz

Welcome, I'm pretty new myself. Nice mid length, now you get to find a sling, change that pistol grip, and decide what route for optics you want to take. So it begins!
