I dug out some receivers i had laying around that i want to get around to trading .I bought a bunch of slab side receivers unused and just want to verify the make if colt or not. They have a square with circle in it and other mark looks like an upside down triangle with something inside? my eyes are bad.  flat top has key hole mark. Any help would be appreciated.

Sounds like Colt proof marks. Are they just ahead of the ejection port? Pics are good.

If the triangle is forward of the ejection port it sounds like Colt.
Pictures would make it easy to tell what they are.

Thanks for the answer. I bought a bunch of them stating they were colt unused but dont remember researching them. Any idea of value i should put on them?  I have been out of the hobby for a few years, and not used this site lately. do you still need web host to post pictures? any free ones out there that are easy to use? Thanks again.Kevin

Photobucket. Are the lowers marked with Colt markings as well? That would be a prime indicator that they are Colts.

the retro furum has a "whats this worth" sticky, although its called an appraisal, plus any info you need is there.
also Retroblackrifle.com has the same. and rbr has pics that explains the variations.
go forth,and wonder no more

If by "slabside" you mean "slickside" upper receivers, then it sounds like you have either 601, 602, or 604 Colt receivers.

Most likely worth 100 to 150 depending on condition, whether the small parts are included, etc.

They could possibly be something rare (there were 3 models of slick side uppers) which could command a huge price. I'm not educated enough to tell the difference, but many here are AR15 history enthusiasts who could set you straight with the help of pictures.

The two retro receivers you have are later round forge Colt 604 upper receivers.
