I have a LMT Defender for my patrol carbine. I love it, but I do have one minor concern.

Only about half of my Pmags drop free without pulling them out of the magwell. All of my GI mags drop free with no assistance. Is this a common problem?

I had the same issue with my LMT and LWRC rifle. If they are the older PMAGS, you just have to sand down the tabs on the spine on the mag. That's usally the spot that causes the hang up. I'll try and find the link to show where you need to sand it down. It's a common problem so, it's definitely not the rifle.

Try backing out the mag release a little.  Push the mag release button in as far as you can and turn the mag release counter clockwise one or two turns.

I do believe the Pags in question are a little bit older. I may have to try sanding them.

I don't believe it is the mag catch. The mag feels snug in the magwell before it ever reaches the mag catch.

I have the same issue with mine when used in conjunction with the original Pmags. The revised Pmags drop fine.
