Whats the difference between the two battle rails? I realize that Troy makes them both but why are there two of the same thing?
Thanks Rob |
| The troy rails uses slightly thinner walls towards the muzzle end of the handguard. The holes also support more direct mount accessories than the slots on the VTAC. The troy version is lighter, with the longer troy weighing approximately the same as the next longest VTAC. 13" troy weighs the same as 11" VTAC and so on and so forth. |

I have both the Troy and VTAC versions. I prefer the Troy because it's lighter and I can get a better grip on the rail with the holes. Different strokes for different folks! I was afraid of jambing a finger in the holes and this is the reason I went with a VTAC. I also sorted of preferred the slots of the VTAC instead of holes since the barrel was fluted. |
