It is an indication of perceived quality but more so of what people are willing and able to buy. I'm pretty sure DPMS sells the most rifles, does that mean they're the best? For this specific incident, you're wrong I'm not wrong just because BCM happens to be top quality. demand != quality, coincidentally BCM = quality.
