Way too heavy and I can't afford a high dollar trigger right now, who makes a decent spring kit for the hammer and trigger?

Generally, replacing the springs won't help the trigger that much.  Look into the RRA NM trigger.  If you're patient, you see them pop up in EE for around 80 bucks.  That's how I got mine.  They're around 120 bucks new.

Brownells sells a few spring kits, never tried any though....

JP yellows and careful polishing can make a WORLD of difference.

Since you have a membership, search for my build thread in the "build it yourself" forum (it got archived).  I went into detail how I improved the trigger, including JP springs, polishing, lightening the hammer, and taking up the pretravel.  It really does make a world of difference.

JP or TTI springs from Brownells will definately help.  Put some moly lube on FCG mating surfaces and work them a bit.  Don't hit the bolt catch with the hammer.  Might be all you need.  I've even mixed them to get desired pull.

I used the JP "Yellow" spring kits in both of my BM lowers without doing anything else and it made both triggers much better. They are not Camp Perry precision triggers but, then again, these are HD/SHTF rifles so I don't need (or want) 1# pulls.

Try the JP yellow springs and the J&L trigger adjuster.   Make a world of difference

I don't want to hijack this thread,  but

Has anyone had problems igniting military primers with the yellow hammer spring?

Here's a thread from the archives talking about lightening the hammer to work with lighter springs.

Follow the link in the post to see how I modded my trigger, it works.

I did the full on trigger job kwranglin is talking about, as well as several of my friends. My rifle has been 100% for thousands of rounds, almost exclusively my handloads. My buddy had issues with his 6.8 on SSA rounds and had to move up to the RED hammer spring. JP advises against using the yellows for anything bur a bench/plinker rifle for tha reason. They have several levels of springs for different applications.
