Does anyone have any experience with the CMMG AR-15's?  I saw one in the local gun shop with a flat top, 1/9 twist and the finish was a little different from my Bushmaster.

Thanks in advance,

Scott

I had a CMMG WASP. Decent gun. I never had any issues with it.

Tompa00,

How long have you had yours?  I have a six year old Bushmaster Varminter 24" fluted barrel with under 500 rounds through it, and I have an offer to trade for a CMMG like yours brand new.  Dont know if I shoulod do it or not.  Would rather have the carbine, but not sure if I would be gett'n the screw job.
Thanks

Have you considered just getting a different upper?

There are better options to be had for the same money or less.

The OP was talking about trading, not buying. If I was buying, it would be a BCM in that price range.

As with everything in the AR world. Make the best for years then make a few bad ones & you get black listed.  CMMG had this happen a few years ago. Now people call them crap.  I have no issues with my upper on my goto rifle.

But I would not trade the BM. That's a good barrel & setup. Makes more sense to get another upper for it.
