Hey everyone, my name is Doug. Just got my first AR a month ago and I have been flirting with the site since then. I saw a lot of people discouraging the RPG LE AR 15 from Rocky Point Guns in North Carolina (sold at Rocky Point Guns and Classic Arms) but I went ahead and got one. Obviously this won't be my only one, most people buy one and build many, right? So I will build more in the future. I figure if anything, this can go to the wife or a friend if I ever get tired of it but thus far I really like it. Very little slop, comparable to any other AR I've shot, nothing an accu-wedge can't fix. The 1 in 9 twist M4 barrel takes 77 grain .223 just fine and I was hitting bull at 50 yards every time and consistently close to bull at 100 yards. It's not even close to being finished, still planning to get new pistol grip, sights, flashlight, and a proper sling (at least tactical, maybe a 3pt).

I believe in God and I drink beer. Married, no kids, 1 German Shepherd. I vote based on who protects the Constitution the most, particularly the 1st and 2nd amendments. Anything else I left out?

Tell me more about the German Shepard. Her name is Rylee, she's a protector and loves to fetch. Here's a few pictures of her when she was young and then another one more recent. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v420/douglasspear/Rylee.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v420/douglasspear/Rylee01.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v420/douglasspear/RyleeGirl.jpg |
