Well, I am thinking about building an upper for hunting out here in the inter-mountain west. I will mostly be hunting whitetail or mule deer on family land. Its mostly tree areas near a river for the whitetails, and small draws and washes for mules. Most every shot will be under 300 yards.
What I'm trying to decide is, do I want 6.8 SPC? Or do I want 6.5 Grendel? I'm on a tight budget so this will take 6 months to a year to build up the funds to buy the parts for assemblage.

Pros and Cons of each? How many of you use either caliber for hunting?
Sure, I would love to build one in .260, but that's a whole 'nother can o worms :)
