| I bought a RRA tactical operator 2...this was before I got all up on the AR craze. I got this rifle because it seemed to be a good price and it had most of the stuff I wanted already. I like the free float handguard and the ergo grip along with the fully chromed bolt carrier "the key seems to be properly staked on mine from comparing to photos" The extractor already has the black insert too. I liked the look of the operator stock. It came with a flip up front sight that is decent. I was in the market for a non chromed barrel because I was looking for more accuracy than anything else "don't plan on rapid fire". Now those are all of the things that I like. Really the only thing I dont like about the rifle is the NON M4 feed ramp upper and barrel extension. My question is I ordered a BCM upper and barrel extension with the M4 cuts to replace it. Should I leave the RRA as is and use the upper for a dedicated .22LR upper or swap the uppers out and use the RRA upper for the .22LR upper build. I am thinking put the BCM on the 5.56 upper. Just want to see what you guys think. |
| Thanks for the reply...I am semi new to the AR stuff and it is REALLY easy to get bit by the "it has to be this or that to be any good" Bug...I am extremely happy with the RRA and like i said before it wasn't purchased for rapid fire or crawling around in the dirt. That being said..thanks for the feedback |
