Allright guys I'm trying to decide on which geissele trigger I want to get. I'm looking for a combat/precision trigger. Precision being second to a combat trigger. Pull weight isn't really a very important factor since all of their triggers have light pull weights. What are important factors are reset distance, pull distance, basically I want a trigger that will fire and reset quickly so you can have a faster rate of fire. Let me say though that I will most likely than not be shooting in any 3 gun competitions. However, I still want a trigger that will allow me to have a combat/ home defense weapon but still be able to shoot that long distance shot with great effectiveness. I'm in between 3 triggers. Six months ago I would have got the SSA but now they have two more in the area I'm looking for, the SSA-E and the 3 gun trigger. I guess my real question should be given the criteria I've listed is the 3 gun woth $60 over the SSA? If not is the SSA=E worth the $30 over the SSA? Does anyone have the 3 gun trigger and is it as nice as it sounds in the description? Also is it a flat trigger unlike the other two?

The SSA is by no means a "slow" trigger - mine has been great.  The S3G is reportedly very quick to reset though.  I'm waiting for 3-gun season to start up over here so I can maybe get the chance to try one.

Flat/straight Geissele triggers bows are available from MidwayUSA under the Super Dynamic label.  They have three versions, the SDC, SDE, and SD3.  They are analogous to the SSA, SSA-E, and S3G, respectively.

Buy the two that you think you want, sell the one you like less.  You might take a $20 hit, but at least you'll know you have the right one.

I wouldn't overlook a Timney as well.  I recently installed one in my Colt AR and the pull set at 3lbs with no creep whatsoever.

I've got a Timney 3lb skeletonized trigger and I really like it for shooting longer range target practice but it's way to light for a combat trigger.

I like the flat triggers that MIday has but they don't have the flat style in the enhanced version. They do have it in the SSA and 3 gun I think. I like this flat version idea and everyone that has used them says they like them a lot.

Thanks for the info. I've wanted to get an SSA for a while and it's good to hear even with the newer models that everyone still recommends them.

Sure they do.

Out of stock at the moment, but patience is a virtue.

I really like my SSA-E, but it may be a bit to light for a combat/HD gun.  I put it in my Mk12 SPR, and I think it fits that roll just right.  I have never felt an SSA, but from the description that might be a better choice.  I was going to put an SSA in my SBR, but I read that Geissele is coming out with a new trigger this year in the $125 range so I am waiting.  Also, the 3 gun triggers are not flat.  They have a very slight curve to them.
