| Currently have a 2-7x scope on my rifle which is nice for the new SS barrel i put on with a free float tube. however im not near as comfortable with the rifle in a CQB situation and the scope and the hefty burris xtr rings addd quite a bit of weight. I definitely need some BUIS and i was thinking of just getting the Troy fixed iron sight set for $95. If i need the iron sights i still need a wrench to take the scope off, so why have folding buis mounted all the time anyways? Plus when i run just irons the weight of the rifle dramatically is reduced. Idk, i find myself going backwards. I went from standard m4 style, to dro in rail, vfg, and red dot to free floated 13" rail, ss upper, 2-7x scope, and afg to same but without afg, now i want irons again lol. kiss i guess. Maybe i need to build another rifle |

Thats whats nice about the Larue LT-104 and the Troy flip up sights. You can have your scope and your sights quickly.
I can generaly remove my scope and employ my BUIS in about 10 seconds. Cost is an issue to most but to me its a cost worth while. As for your question the folding sights are just that they stay out of the way. I could never go back to a scope that had to be removed with a wrench. |
