Magpul MIAD or Hogue grip?
I have plenty of hogue grips on pistols and love the feel of them. They feel as if they just stick to my hands well. What is the magpul made of? is it polymer? What are your opinions? |

I have both, and like both honestly. The Hogue is very comfortable due to the rubber material used, however I like the versatility of my MIAD, with all the front and back strap options.
Either way, I think you'll be happy. The MIAD is a "rougher" grip than the hogue, so if your hands are sensitive to more aggressive texture, this may be something to consider. |
| I dont know if you have looked into CAA at all... I had one on my Noveske, it feels like your hand sticks to it and it has great control. I got on a Magpul kick and bought a MIAD and swapped them out... actually thinking about going back to the CAA... The Magpul seems slick and not as easy to control... just my .02. The CAA has interchangeable back straps and front also... |

i have it and love it, its not the prettiest thing in the world but i dont go for looks, the 15degree angle is great for prone or keeping your arm tucked in, reduces alot of strain put on by others that have a 30degree grip angle. its also large, so if you wear a size large glove itll feel perfect, its got a thumb rest on both sides so my thumb never feels like its just there. it also puts my trigger finger perfectly on the trigger, and also it only has 3 strips of kinda stippled type grip on it, but its all you need no matter how sweaty my hands get they dont feel like they are going lose grip of it, and also wearing gloves makes it better too, because of the size of the grip gloves feel great using it. after using it and trying others i can honestly say no other grip feels as good |
| The Ergo ambi grip. I have them on all my AR's. Don't like the MIAD. I suppose if you were setting the rifle up to work with many different operators the MIAD would be a good choice. But that isn't the case with my rifles. The Ergo works for me and mine so that is what we roll with. YMMV |

| Like someone else said i know its not on your list but the Ergo might be what your looking for. Or use and old trick and get the MIAD then go to a bike store and ask for one of the smallest innertubes they have, they should give you any they have thrown out for repair, then cut it to the size & shape you want and slip it on the MIAD you'll end up with all the advantages on the Magpul grip plus the stickness of the Houge or Ergo and you can call it custom. |

Quoted: You could go the rote I did and put some innertube on your MIAD http://i377.photobucket.com/albums/oo212/markfall/guns/SDC10274.jpg That is the first LT 707 I have seen except mine...+1 SASS |
