I am doing a lightweight assembly and was thinking of using an ACE stock. Anybody running these? Are they lighter than an A2 stock?

Also, how short is the short one? What postion on a 6 postion tube with a regular M4 stock would it be comparable to as far LOP?

I have never held one and am curious.

The short ACE stock with the 1" rubber pad is similar in length to my VLTOR clubfoot in position number 3. It's pretty light and very comfortable.

I haven't used the long stock in years as those A2 length stocks are far too long for me.

I got one on a S&W  15T AR and is ok but seemed a bit funky in use until I put a Royal Arms pistol grip on it and now the stock  grips well into the shoulder and the pistol grip gives a much better feel while firing especially offhand

I just ordered mine from here. It was the best price I could find.

Got a spare cover also.

Its also the first part I bought for my build !

I have an ARFX and love it.  It's A2 length with the recoil pad, A1 length without.  Might give one of the ARFX-E stocks a try some day for giggles.

Either way, they are very well built, light, and comfortable.

I've got an Ace ARFX-E. For the Ban-state clowns who dislike A2 length and can't have a tele stock,
the Entry stock is great. it is lighter than A2, and WAY lighter than the Sully.

Thanks guys, I may go with the shorter one with the extended pad. Sounds like its where I like it to be.

Be very sure of the length before you purchase.  I have the entry stock and even with the thick rubber pad, it just seems too short for me.  Of course, it all depends on your firing preferences.

I have the 9  inch and I love it. I'm 5' 10" and it fits me well. I will use it on all my AR builds. I gives the AR a good solid feel which the plastic ones lack. I would order the 7 inch with the one inch pad if you have a carbine and the 9 inch if you have the rifle. Which Is how im planning to build all my ARs.

Been thinking of getting one for my double star to dress it up a bit.

lightest would be the ultra lite stock, just the extension tube and a bar down the back for the butt.
