Hi All, I didn't find exactly what I was looking for throughout the forums so I decided to start a new topic and some of you can steer me the right direction.
I have had my Bushmaster for some time now and have done a few things to it, however the next step for me is to make the rifle perform better, I was hoping I could get some ideas and advice on some of the best ways to go to. And if I missed somewhere in the forum please point me in the right direction. Thanks in advance...

here is my rifle so far.
AR XM15-E2S 16 INCH H BAR
AK pre ban muzzle brake
flip up front sight aperture
custom 4 rail forend
Colt C-more sight with rear sight aperture
Tapco collapsible stock
Hogue style grips

Not really, but I was looking into a better trigger assembly and noticed other forum members discussing the changing of their buffer and spring and bolt assembly. that is my basic curiousness, if there are some modifications I can do and will they have a substantial impact on the performance of my rifle.

Do you have a carbine or mid length?  Do you like your stock?  would a comp or flash hider be better for you?   Adding a red dot system?  As for triggers I have both the Wilson and Geissele ssa, both are great.  For the money I would do the geissele.

I have a Carbine, and I am pretty happy with the mods I have done thus far (see first post for list)  just interested in firing performance right now.

I picked up a Young Mfg. BCG for my XM15. great product... and just installed an RRA NM 2stage trigger in my new build. Check them out.

I run a BCM bcg (Ionbond finish) spikes ST-T2 buffer and Wolf heavy duty spring.  The spring was a wow moment.

Thanks, I will check them out, Is there any suggestion to quieten my buffer spring?

Thanks Patrick and Lifer, this is the kind of info I was fishing for, just wondered how noticeable these upgrades were?

As for buffer noise, no.  Well they do make a "fix".  I've not heard of any positive reviews.  I wouldn't run one anyway.  That's me though.

the spring noise is part of the magical music that an AR makes.

ETA: I changed to the Spikes ST-T2 buffer, and put the Young Mfg. BCG in, and the rifle seemed to "tighten" up... not as sloppy feeling as it was for the past 8 years.

And the screams of the taliban make up the chorus
