Finally, I got my first AR in and got it assembled. I ordered it last Tuesday from JSE Surplus (Comments of this company below). I got a Del-Ton Rifle Kit from them for $460. I got a Spikes Tactical Lower from AIM Surplus for $79.99 (I live about 20 min from them). I should have had my kit on Saturday, but our mail man is lazy. He didn't even try to come to the door to drop it off, he just left a "Sorry, we missed you..." in the mailbox. I went at got it, but the post office was already closed, so I had to wait until Monday. Well, I finally got it. It took me a little while to assemble the Lower, but I had fun and it wasn't to hard for a first timer. I don't have any aftermarket parts except for the cheap-o rear sight and the Magpul MOE grip, and the PMAG. I will post some pics, but they aren't very good.

I ordered the rifle kit on Tuesday around 4pm. I added some different things to it like the OD Green handguard for $2, there wasn't a box to select green grip and stock, but they sent me green ones anyway for the same $2. I didn't even ask for it. The ordered was shipped on Wednesday night, it arrived on Saturday morning. Also, I emailed them several times, and they got back with me within a few hours every time. They were great. Their site may not be fancy and flashy, but they are a great company and totally recommend them. They even sent me a free company pen with a small LED light in the end. EDIT: Pics are not working. I am working on it. EDIT: Pics are working now. Been so long since I posted pics on a forum i totally forgot how. |

Congratulations! May wanna check those pictures posted though. All I got are the dreaded red Xs. ETA: just caught your ETA about the pics. 2nd ETA: Pictures coming through now, and it looks great! While my 6920 is all black, I've been a big fan of OD furniture. So, when's range day? |

Come on now, what's 6 inches of snow?  I understand where you are coming from though... I just got my first one built also (Rock River lower and DPMS upper), and am itching to get out to the range and zero it. But the snow and cold doesn't want to cooperate. Ah well, winter in Cleveland, right?
