Bill.... how do you like that skeleton stock i was thinking of getting one but am thinking with a 20" bull barrel it might make it tough to balance. I like the ACE stock, it is light weight and the foam feels very good and doesn't seem to get hot or cold. Nice for a good cheek weld. The weight balance (mine is a 20" HBAR) isn't an issue for me as I use it for bench work (playing). For off hand shooting it would need more weight in the back. The front sight bases are factory Bushmaster. I did cut one down a week ago to fit under an Omega-X rail. It is under a 9" mid-length rail on a carbine system. The Omega-X rail is one of the most narrow rails out there and I had to remove a LOT of metal. The belt sander was wonderful. It actually came out very nice but you really can't see it now as the rail is covering it. Kind of nice having a pinned gas block. Bill |

how do you like your larue upper? and how much did it run you? I love it. It cost me $1200. I've shot 3/4" five shot groups with my realoads fairly consistantly when I am having a good day. I came close to 1/2" groups a couple times, but everytime I pulled the last shot just slightly and the group ends up being around 1 moa. I usually shoot prone with a bi-pod, so my groups can get a s big as two moa when I am not shooting the best. It is my favorite rifle for shooting groups. I have a 16" stealth upper that I really like too. I have an ACOG on that one and I can usually shoot about MOA with that one when I do my part using a bipod though. |

.260 rem DPMS REPR with 24in Kreiger bbl http://i27.photobucket.com/albums/c183/J75player/REPR.jpg Waitaminute.....Did that DPMS come from the factory with that barrel? Very, very nice shooter. I'd love a 260. I'm doing a 6.5 Grendel first I think then a 260 after. Kind of "little brother/big brother" thing. Heres my 223 with a 22" Krieger. Not real good pics though, I need to get some better ones.
And here it is ringing steel at 275 yards with the suppressor Click |

well, sorta I used to work for DPMS, and Kreiger custom made this bbl for me while they were competing for the contract to supply the bbl's for the REPR. So it came from the factory with it, but its not something that you can order Cheater...... Damn nice. So if theres no NDA's out there or anything, who did win the contract for the DPMS 260 barrels? I assume Krieger lost due to cost more than anything? |
|
well, I left before they had finalized the REPR. they were still considering Wilson, Kreiger, and one other MFG(dont member which one). So I couldn't tell you for sure which one they went with.
but I would guess Wilson based on the finale MSRP of the REPR But they wernt making the REPR in .260rem anyway (one of the reasons I got a custom job) |

Nice toys - mine is a 20" frankengun with bull barrel...no photos on this PC.
Would like to hear more about the trigger modifications you guys have made. My trigger pull is pretty hard. Is there an inexpensive way to improve the existing trigger or do I hae to go the expensive upgrade route? Thanks |

Thanks ive been told the upgraded rra triggers are a nice cheap upgrade.... somebody once posted a lower parts kit that included one for about 120 not sure where that was tho but anyways you get the trigger plus spare parts for less than youd be paying for most. have no first hand experience but it might be worth a try. |
