So i do belive BRD has struck me.......
I just fineshed up building a lower a few days ago and am now patiently waiting for the upper to be sent. But alas im already ready to ring in the creditcard again and pick up a couple more lowers Seouljer |

Well if you live on a high humidity area, a coat of rust preventer such as Barricade wont hurt. If the lowers are high quality, and their finish is good, you wont have problems. Most of the time, the rust appears mostly on the exposed parts of the parts kit such as the mag release, safety selector, the dust cover and pins.
Id say a stripped lower will be ok with a light coat of oil/rust preventer. And yes, BRD....you have it!! Best of luck. J |

Be calm, while there is currently no cure for BRD, you can learn to live with it. studies have shown that significant others and close family members are more traumatized by the affects than the actual carrier. it is possible to transmit the disease to a significant other but these occurrences are rare. more commonly their reactions tend to be exhibited by allot of eye rolling and sighing in disbelief. |

This is most likely the "golden age" of AR parts prices - Everybody's sitting on excess production capability from the ramp-up after the buying frenzy...
You may see mild savings on various parts in the future - but not likely any large amount as it seems most of the mfrs are operating on high volume / low profit margins. However, you can BET that at some point prices will rise (whether legitimately via supply/demand over time or from an artificial stimulus such as a future ban/restriction attempt, even if it's just sabre rattling...) If you've got the funds and you KNOW you are gonna be buying in the future, it's a pretty safe bet that now is as good a time as we'll ever likely see... I've bought more-for-less in the last few months than I've ever purchased in the past - but dollar-for-dollar, I've came out FAR ahead versus similar $$$ spent in recent years... |
