Did DD ever make a carbine length RIS II Mk18? There is one on Craigs List that is 7.5 inches. Any info would be great.

They've made short, carbine length rails, but those are not RIS II rails.

This one says RIS II MK18 on it. I can't find one anywhere on the web.

post up a link. MK18 rails are a defined length, if it's shorter, then it's not a MK18 rail.

Either fake, or someone chopped it.

It's gone now. It was 7.5. I looked at it. It was made well.  Not chopped. I may have saved a picture of it on my home computer. I was going to buy it. Just wanted to research it a bit more. He must have sold it.

What did they want for it?  $200?  $300?  My bet is you see more of this shit showing up everywhere.  That site has LMT marked stocks, VLTOR marked stocks, DD marked rails...........................

Smokin' deals usually aren't....same category as "if you have to ask...you know the answer".

I predict that sometime soon in the future, we will read a story about a FSB blowing up on a rifle.  The ARMS and VLTOR copy FSBs on that site are aluminum, probably cast, and their real counterparts are tool steel.  I'm not so sure there's enough there to keep it from blowing up.

After seeing this and how fast it's getting worse and worse, I won't buy anything except from a reputable manufacturer or distributor.
