Hello everyone this is officially my first post and I just had a question about the spikes lowers. From what I've read already I understand that stripped lowers are mostly the same and the LPK you use is the important part. Does anyone have any insight on the spikes complete lower ? I've read only good things about spikes but I dont remember reading anything about the LPK they use in their complete lowers.
Any advice is appreciated, Thanks. |

Someone correct me if I am wrong but I believe they use their own LPK that they are selling.
From what I remember they don't actually manufacture the kit but they do hand pick who makes each part to ensure a top quality kit. Spike's LPKs are one of the best on the marked right now IMHO.... |

Obviously not a bad recommendation, however I think most would agree that a Spikes + $100 in your pocket would be the better choice. Spikes is a great choice, OP. Palmetto MOE lower $299 |
| IMO, I'd do what I did and build it yourself. It's very easy, and if you purchase quality parts/kits you'll have a lower just as good as anything pre-built. There's also the added benefit of seeing how things go together and work in the event that you have issues down the line. |

Quoted: Quoted: BCM costs more than a Spikes because BCM is a better quality rifle. The "tell me about your BCM lower" was two days ago, OP asked about Spikes! Well since two days ago was BCM lower day that means today is BCM Blemished lowers. I dont think theres a better deal out there right now. Im sure either will do the you fine OP. BCM seems to be the new flavor around the internet and Spikes. Well Spikes gives trolls the opportunity to comment on your rifle with CTD type business model remarks. |

I asked this question recently of "badazzar" through the industry forum. The Spikes LPK is indeed pieced together through their own process of selection. The parts I was most concerned about were the selector, trigger, hammer and disconnector. As it turned out, these parts share the exact same markings as those on my Colt. I think Spike's LPK is good to go. |

To reply to the OP's question....
Have a paiir of Spikes lowers with their LPK's installed. Both have been used with multiple uppers; S&W 5.45x39, a 30 yr old Colt 7.62x39 and a pair of 5.56 uppers as well. ZERO issues from unwrappiing to hitting the range. For a BARGAIN price .... high quality, well manufactured lowers. FN in MT |
| Spike's makes great quality stuff, you won't be disappointed if you pick the complete lower you're looking at. As for the best pre-packaged LPK I've ever used personally, I'd highly recommend the DD kit. But that's only if you plan on assembling your own. Sounds like you're on the right track, have fun putting together your AR and welcome to the site! |

BCM costs more than a Spikes because BCM is a better quality rifle. Can you explain the quality and reason behind costs between the 2 please? I can... Looking at it from a psychological stand point. People say these kinds of things to get you to buy the same thing they have so they do not feel as bad for spending more money on something that is essentially the same as what you bought for cheaper just with a different logo. |

OP, the Spikes complete lower is just fine and dandy however, I just ordered earlier today:
Spikes stripped lower from AIM $80 shipped MOE lower build kit from Palmetto state armory $137 shipped This gives me a Spikes MOE lower complete for $217 total including shipping! I think that's pretty darn tough to beat! Building a lower is very easy, don't be intimidated; there is a great tutorial in the "build it yourself" section. |
