If money was not a problem what brand m4 style rifle would you buy for your go to gun?
11/27/2010 6:29:50 PM EDT
[#1]
Knights armament sr16 SbR
11/27/2010 6:30:17 PM EDT
[#2]
HK416 (assuming I started a business and could buy a dealer sample) or one of the limited edition Noveske/Magpul rifles.

ETA: Definitely would get something rare and transferable on a form 4.
11/27/2010 6:33:40 PM EDT
[#3]
HK416 for 5.56

KAC SR-25 for 308
11/27/2010 6:39:01 PM EDT
[#4]
I'd probably just get a Colt, or stick with my M&P and use the difference for ammo.

Other than that, an XCR.
11/27/2010 6:42:30 PM EDT
[#5]
Colt 6921
LMT or COLT M203
ElCAN Specter DR
11/27/2010 6:49:32 PM EDT
[#6]
Probably Wilson Combat

A man after my own heart.

FWIW, I'd stick with the one I have, which is a Colt MT6400C lower SBR'ed on a Form 1 with a Colt RO920 upper, will probably eventually change it out to a RO921HB barrel.

But basically, an LE6921.  With SAW reliability package.

The '203 would just be a "nice to have."

Wilson combat too!

I'd go for a M4A1.

SR15 / SR25

Noveske is not bad either

or just build you one to your spec's

11/27/2010 7:34:24 PM EDT
[#14]
5.56 - Another Noveske, probably a SBR.

7.62 - LaRue OBR or Noveske N6
11/27/2010 7:35:43 PM EDT
[#15]
noveske or larue
11/27/2010 7:47:11 PM EDT
[#16]
Noveske Infidel

Honestly is money was not an issue i would not buy a M4

OBR lite.  If going bigger,  OBR.

I dont know if theyre high end or not but Im selling one of my Smiths and getting a BCM REECE-16 and a Colt LE6940 after we have Christmas wrapped up.

The BCM because it has the lifetime warranty, a rock solid reputation for a working gun and the Colt because I just want it and the monolithic upper intrigues me.

[#22]
KAC SR15
11/27/2010 9:19:26 PM EDT
[#23]
KAC M110. I'm about to the buy the SR15 next month so the only thing left is .308.

Les Baer
Wilson
La Rue

La Rue (hands down)

I own a Knights Mark 11 and a Noveske N6 (both nice but better money is on the La Rue).

My .02

I would build my own from quality high end parts.

[#29]
Money no issue?  an 11.5 to 12.5 SBR with a stainless barrel and a suppressor.  Probably Noveske or Larue and AAC (I have one of each), lower could be anything but should have a Gieslle trigger.

The Larue OBR in a 12" would be perfect I think as a complete rifle (it comes with with that trigger).

Colt APC (Advanced Piston Carbine)...assuming they finally go into full production....and a HK 416  ...assuming they finally go into full production

Either KAC or Noveske.

+1.

However, if I was going M4 style it would be Bravo Company:

[#34]
HK MR223... oops .. already have it .. but then other one will not hurt - would cut it to 10,5"

Then HK MR308

Plus maybe JP Rifles full blown 3Gun setup

KAC? Looks like no export from US on them
11/28/2010 4:59:23 AM EDT
[#35]
HK, Knights, LWRC, Noveske, Larue, Daniel Defense, PWS, Colt, Bravo Company......I would buy all of them since money ain't an issue
11/28/2010 5:13:17 AM EDT
[#36]
5.56: Larue or build my own on a kac lower

7.62: Larue or build my own on a kac lower... hmmn deja vu...

Larue barrels are as good and accurate as they come, they use all quality parts... not much to change for my end uses =)
11/28/2010 5:50:58 AM EDT
[#37]
I have always wanted a larue.
11/28/2010 5:56:44 AM EDT
[#38]
KAC would be my choice.
11/28/2010 5:58:05 AM EDT

Noveske, looking to buy a third they are that good.

My "go-to" is the LMT

LWRC M6A5 (doesn't exist, yet?)
LaRue OBR-556

LWRC REPR

I went with Bravo Company.

If NY didn't have the stupid AWB, I'd get a Noveske 6.8SPC SBR with a can.

Probably just a Bushmaster like I have now. I dont buy into the hype. My current Bushy has tens of thousands of rounds downrange without a hiccup. I cant see double the price getting me anything better. Thats just my opinion.

ETA:

I'll follow above. I'd pass on an M4 altogether I think.

OBR
11/29/2010 12:15:17 PM EDT

Colt LE6920. I own two.

I'm getting my first 7.62x51 AR soon, an SR25EMC.
