My brother used to build AR15s and sell them, so I've shot a good amount. I'm finally buying my first AR. I already have a spikes lower, 3 pmags, mbus, sling, and 500 rounds. I've been waiting to get a BCM 14.5 LW middy when they're in stock. I wanted to get it with the PWS FSC556, but as the time goes by its making me switch between the FSC556 and the A2.
Whats your advice between the fsc556 vs an A2 and maybe a few more mags and a chest rig?
Also, if I get the A2 would I be better to get the standard barrel to help a little with recoil. (The less recoil the more my fiance will enjoy shooting with me.)
Thank you guys so much

The FSC556 is a fantastic comp, and an easy way to make your rifle of legal length. You would need an extended A2 to make it legal on a 14.5" barrel.

Get the PWS comp; you won't regret it. Makes the 14.5 middy shoot so nice and soft.

I have a PWS, and I really like. The people around me when I shoot hate it though.

I've also got a Battlecomp, and I like it better than my PWS for one reason alone - it's nowhere near as loud as the PWS. I'd say it's in every way equal to the PWS except for the lack of noise.
