Simple question:
Spikes Tactical Middy w/ 9" BAR rail or BCM Government profile middy w/ Troy Ind Drop Midlength rail This will be replacing my CMMG inc 16" Carbine upper as my SHTF gun. |

Quoted: Both would be excellent choices. I think the real difference would be the rail, pick the rail you like best. I agree, both are probably very good. I would go with BCM mostly for personal choice. The spikes rails look neat but are big in ID for use with a suppressor. being in CA this isn't an option so I prefer a lower profile rail like DD or LaRue. |

Quoted:
BCM for the win! can't go wrong with either. I have a bravo middy and am very happy. I have both, Spikes and BCM middys- they both appear and shoot as equals (so far). As far as the Spikes BAR rails go, I cannot say as I do not have experience with any Spikes rails. The coming Spikes lightweight rails look interesting, I believe called SAR rails. Spikes offers a lot for the money, BCM is a proven winner. Another tough call.

Go with BCM midlength gov't. profile. I am from an old school so no need for taticool stuffs and therefore no need for a rail system. http://i884.photobucket.com/albums/ac47/U5512/AR15/Picture1483.jpg |
