| I have a Stag Arms Ar. I bought a YHM Front sight Gas block. I started off by punching out the roll spring for the gas tube, then I punched the pins out for the front sight base. I did not think about the A2 standard flash hider so instead of waiting till after work I vise clamped my upper and lower to a table. I took a wrench and popped the Flash hider loose. My question is right before the flash hider popped loose I think I felt the barrel twist is that possible? If so is this a big problem? Thanks guys I learned my lesson next time be more patient. |

It is not a very good idea to unscrew your muzzle device while both the upper & lower are clamped together. The proper method is to use barrel vice clamps. You prolly felt your barrel index pin displacing aluminum where it fits into its recess on your upper. Basically, you managed to over-torque your barrel in all probability. |
