I just got a new (used) AR15, it was a police trade in back in the 90's and I was looking to see if I could identify the upper.

It's a keyhole flat top receiver
11.5" barrel, with fixed 5" flash hider.
––––-Barrel is HBAR under the handguards, and equals out after the fsb
––––-Handguards are slim style, no heat guard A2

FSB is cast, with A1 type round front sight post, with UP printed into the fsb.

It looks like the barrel was replaced onto the flat top receiver, so I'm guessing only the barrel and bcg are original.

No markings on the barrel at all, I believe the twist is 1:7. I don't know for sure, but did the cleaning rod technique several times, and every time it came between 7 and 7.5"

hard to tell without markings on the barrel...

cast FSB always makes me think at Olympic Arms...but I dont think they offer 1/7 barrels

No one has any ideas? I'm stumped here.

We don't really have much info to go on in order to give you an accurate answer, sorry.

Posting pictures may show something (a small detail) indicative of a single mfg that you might have overlooked.
