Im in the process of building my first AR and wanted to get your guys thoughts before I order a complete upper.

My lower contains:

RRA stripped lower
DD LPK
Magpul MIAD grip
Magpul CTR stock
Milspec buffer tube assembly

I am thinking of ordering the following BCM 16" mid length with an 11" troy handguard.
http://www.bravocompanyusa.com/ProductDetails.asp?ProductCode=BCM-URG-MID-16+TRX11STD

I will eventually also be adding troy front and rear flip up iron sights, some optic (probably eotech 512), most likely a vert foregrip, and a sling of some type.

My question is, will this end up being balanced or to front heavy due to the 11" handguard? Also, is this FF? I couldnt find that info on the page...could have over looked it.

Thanks!

The Troy handguard is relatively light and the barrel is a lightweight profile –– It should balance pretty well as she sits.  A light (if you get one) and vfg will probably tip her a little front heavy but not much.  The Troy handguard is indeed freefloated.

Thanks for the info, good to hear.

Do you think a fully loaded mag would balance it back out if I had a vfg and light attached?

I noticed the balance point shift a little to the rear when I went to an H2 buffer.  But I don't have anything on the front handguard.
