I'm replacing the barrel on my AR10 and I have gathered intel on this site that if replacing barrel you should install a new bolt.

I only have maybe 300 rounds on the original bolt and I have a new one if need be, but I also see some say that a slightly used bolt is ok.

Should I install my new bolt or can I use the original and keep the new one as a spare?

Should be no problem to use the one with 300 rds on it, I would.

BTW, here is a whole forum dedicated to the Armalite AR10:http://www.ar15.com/forums/forum.html?b=3&f=62

If it is one of the other guys AR10 style rifle, you'll find refuge here for it: http://www.ar15.com/forums/forum.html?b=3&f=121

Thanks for the reply, it is an Armalite AR10 and I am replacing the infantry weight with an Armalite SASS bbl.

I figure it's the same concept as an AR15.

Just a final check.

Is my original bolt good to go on a new bbl?

ETA: gonna buy a new membership as soon as I pay off this bbl.

ETA II: bbl is due back after eight weeks getting ion bonded.,

Yes. No need for a new bolt.
