| what do you fellas think of there line of ar-15's? lets say compared to colt, spikes, stag, S&W M&P, sig FNscar and any other rep builder out there. lets just say were would you put it on the AR food chain? |
|
If they put half the effort into their AR line that they've put into their 1911's, they will be a top tier product. I don't own one, so I can't give any first hand experiences. Maybe someone who has one will chime in.
I would love to buy any full size 1911 they make, it's on my bucket list. |
| I dont own one nor have I priced one but I would guess they would be pretty expensive comparison to other rifles on the market. Since the ar15 is such a open platform I personally would buy a base rifle and customize it to my liking vs paying premium prices for one with a few upgrades which may or may not benefit a particular shooter. |

It is BY FAR the most accurate, most dependable, and overall best 1911 I have ever seen or heard of, and I have owned a lot of 1911's. I plan on buying another one soon. Wilson Combat is not a status symbol. It is the perfection of taking your time and doing it right from the beginning. I do not own an AR from them, but if me or anyone does, I'm sure it's top tier... |

Their 1911s are fine but i wouldn't waste my money on their ARs....way better options from companies that deal strictly with ARs...Wilson is just trying to make a buck off their 1911 name recognition. Les Baer is the same way. |

There prices start at 2K and go up......from their website the rifles feature many of the same stuff that a upper level rifle, (think Colt, BCM, Noveske,LMT, or Larue) have. and all theirs can be had for alot less. You are buying the Name and if you are going to spend that much just man up and buy a KAC SR-15 and get a better rifle with many more custom features for about the same price and probably better customer service.
Buy Wilson for their 1911's, they are the Tits.......its what they do. AR's are an after thought to them and it is reflected in the product. |

If they put half the effort into their AR line that they've put into their 1911's, they will be a top tier product. The problem with Wilson and Les Baer is that the AR15 doesn't require the same attention as a 1911. The law of diminishing returns applies here. I'm sure the fit and finish of the rifle is excellent. I wouldn't expect any issues. But, it's not really not necessary. You end up paying more for work that you don't need. To wit, you can get what you really need for much less money. And to echo Forest, some of the choices that they've made, show that they don't fully understand what's needed or wanted. |

Wilson Combat is overpriced. I have no idea why their rilfes are priced so high, especially for what you get. For 2,000 dollars, the price of their cheapest AR (The M4-T), you could have a real deal Colt or maybe a nice Noveske or an LMT MRP and still have money left over for ammo. Or you could buy 2 BCM rifles for the price of 1 Wilson, and have 2 high quality mil spec rifles.
Wilson Combat is a no go. |

| Having purchased a WC AR in the past (as my first "go get yourself something nice" from the wife), and having owned several other brands and models I can say that they make a nice product, but as was mentioned earlier in the thread, there is only so much you can do to "fit" an AR. They are more expensive and function similiarly to other ARs coming in several hundred dollars less. |
