Been building a new rifle to occupy my time. This one has come out real simple and real nice here is a few specs.
RRA lower
Houge grip
Magpul pmag
M-4 type Bushmaster stock
DPMS LPK
Split "A" flatop upper w/M-4 ramps
DD BCG
DTI 1/9 14.5" barrel CM not chrome lined
Cardnal Forge Carry Handle/A2 rear sight
BCM Ext A2 FH pinned by Addco, very clean super nice job.
I have held it alot now and compared to my 16" carbine, set up almost identical, except for barrel length, it handles very differently. Feels much lighter. I guess thats what happens when you take weight off of the right place.

Heres the nice job Adco did on the weld/pin. 3rd barrel that I have had work done by them...very good stuff

Now time to see how it shoots. Should be able to get out over the long weekend and I will get back with some details of how that goes. Not expecting miracles with a 14.5  DTI 1/9, but it should accomplish the task it was designed for. Thanks.

Nice

Everyone needs at least one KISS carbine in the stable.

Nice clean KISS build, congrats.

On my two carbine gas system carbines only for better reliability I use BCM Extractor Spring Uprade Kit, M16 auto BCG, and H buffers.

Now where the heck are you going to mount a frickin' laser?

Where is the light going to be mounted?

Backup red dot scope?

Sorry, that just is not going to work for me.

One of my shooting buddies owns a DTI, and we were both stunned at how well it performed, considering the cost.

Damn nice rifle, by the way

The upper / lower finish looks like a perfect match too, something I've heard DTI and RRA does well. How is the fit?

Its fits perfectly. No wiggle whatsoever. I was impressed with the fit. The easy handling and light wieght are great. I was playing around with it and put a Troy BUIS on it and its even lighter. I am happy. But I will keep the carry handle.

I would, not ony does it look better for a KISS but over the long term a carry handle is more durable.

Keep it simple stupid...ie...no flip ups, rails, fancy stocks, optics...just a basic carbine.

Dude that is one super nice looking rifle. Your lucky cuz you know how to build them. I wish I can just buy a pre-made upper/lower that doesn't cost an arm and my two legs!!!!!!!! heck.... Even if you could do it yourself the prices for parts is expensive and I'll bet it might come out no different than if you just bought one.

Have a nice holiday everyone
