Put a new Timeny Trigger in the 6940. 4# Man I love these triggers Just out of curiosity how do they compare to Chip McCormick or a AR gold etc.

got a TIMNY 3# in my CDD M-4 It just needs a touch, can`t beat it.

I have a Chip McCormick in mine and I am very impressed with it. I have felt a bunch of Timneys and they are very comparable.

True. I have two Timneys and 2 McCormicks and they are similar in feel.

Took out the Colt today with the new trigger just awesome double taps are easy and accuracy improved . Makes me wonder why Colt or LMT or whomever would not put a trigger of this quality in their guns HMMMMM.

I just put a 3# Timney in my new piston build and don't think I'll ever go back. The drop-in is the tits, and the trigger "pull" (more like "brush") is unbelieveable. Trigger discipline is mandatory, however, as there's no room for error. A ham-handed trigger-yanker would most likely be a menace. If I saw a Timney in an AR loaded down with UTG and NcStar crap, I'd probably run the other way.

Both feel very similar. I use Timney 3 lb and Jewells in my hunting ARs mostly. The CM is a great trigger too though. You won't go wrong with either.

I have a 4# in my Colt and just put a 3# in my RRA there great triggers. The 3# started double firing though so had to adjust the disconecter but that took care of the problem.

Glad you are happy with it. Just installed one of their 4lb ones in my ar-10 but haven't had a chance to take it out yet. Going to try later in the week.

I just put a 4# Timeny in my A2 service rifle and love it!

I also have a RRA two stage in my A4 clone (pratice and all around use beat it up rifle) that I like too, but after shooting with the Timeny I will replace that RRA with a Timeny if it ever fails.
