Sup fellas new to the forum been lurkin' for quite some time.
Got a 20" upper on order so I've been lookin around at lowers to snag. My question is the spikes lower that comes with st-t2 buffer and tube, can it work in conjunction with a 20" build and A2 stock? Or is it a carbine only buffer? If so does spikes have anything meant for 20" rifles or are they centered towards the carbine crowd. Thanks in advance everyone. |

a carbine buffer will not work with a rifle buffer tube and spring...
you could try to use your 20" upper on the lower with a carbine buffer setup like the C7... the ST-T2 might be too heavy to work with the rifle gas system, i don't know how it compares to an H2 buffer, but I believe that's what the Canadians use in their rifles no matter what barrel or gas system length... |
| Thanks guys I figured that would be the case. I guess I'll just see what my local FFL has in stock tomarrow, maybe something will catch my eye. I just liked the design idea posed by the ST-T2 and was diggin' the spikes lower anyhow figured I'd kill two birds with one stone. That said Im still on the hunt for a lower complete or stripped. Although seeing what I've read in the past how well Tom @ Spikes caters to his customers maybe he'll get something going for the 20" crowd :))) high hopes I guess |

| Yea bro I read it sorry for the confusion. I'm just gearing towards and A4 clone and intend on using an A2 stock. I dont really want to buy the lower kit that comes with the tube and buffer and start swapping stuff on it. I might as well just snag the stripped lower and an A2 stock kit and go from there. Like I said the st-t2 seemed appealing. Also be patient with me as this is my first build I'm originally a bolt action guy... lol the pace is a little slower in that world :p |
