I ordered a Bill Springfield lower parts kit with his trigger job done based off the great reviews here.

My question is what's his lead time on orders?  I ordered it over a week ago now. I paid up front (PayPal), he said it was in stock and he'd ship it.
My phone calls and emails have not been returned and I have no tracking number.

I'm starting to worry I got ripped off, or is his shipping just very slow?

I'd guess being a small shop he probably chooses a day to ship multiple orders out. My trigger took a few business day's to get there and about a week to get back to me.

Considering all the work he does for ARFCOM do you really think you're going to get ripped off.

Relax...1 week is not really slow.

Don't worry about Bill.  He called me on a Sunday afternoon to fix a problem I had.  He is an upstanding merchant.  It's spring, maybe he took a short vacation.

Well it’s possible that I screwed something up, never did a PayPal transaction before.
Either way, 1 way shipping CO to Chicago shouldn’t take a week.  It either didn’t get shipped or got shipped to the wrong address.

Ripped off is probably the wrong word, incorrect delivery via USPS is common though.

He probably drives to the post office at the end of the week to ship out a weeks worth of work. An individual doesn't usually ship like a retailer.

Do you remember if it went Priority or Parcel/First Class?
Like previous posters have mentioned, small merchants tend to get stuff out in bulk, usually end of the week. If he got the order in on a Monday, waited till Friday to ship, and it went Parcel Post/First Class ... one week would be very much in the "optimistic" zone.

You're worried about an order that was only placed one week ago???

Yes, warpig I am then again anyone who orders from my small business gets a receipt and tracking number within 12hrs of placing a order.

Bill does not sent out tracking info. He will send it USPO and when you get it, it will be well worth the wait. If anything goes wrong with the situation he will make it right. I know that for a fact because I was taken care of on a 2 stage trigger from him.

Guns are a hobby for most of  us to get the best some times you need a lot of patience.
I am dismayed at how little patience most people have today. I do most of my builds or repair
in the winter.

Post Office to mailbox was ~2 weeks.

I had a RRA single stage trigger sent to him for work a few months ago.  Do not worry about that man or his work.  He has a great reputation for a reason.  As far as the tracking number goes I didn't even talk to him, just saw his address and sent off the trigger and in about 2-3 weeks recieved a better one.  Trust me.... all is well.  For the person who said he does alot of work for aftcomm... I saw that Rainier Arms also uses his triggers and they are not going to mess someone that would rip your off.

Tsk tsk tsk...how soon we forget. A week? Awhile back a DelTon would take eight months to show up and
and your baby would be walking and talking before your RRA arrived from the dealer.

Good to know. I have three triggers I need to send to him.

Has anyone had him work on a rra two stage?

I emailed him once when the check I sent with a FCG hadn't been cashed, even though delivery confirmation showed it had been delivered...  He said he had a big backlog, and managed to get my stuff back to me well before he had predicted.

I think it was seven or eight days from the time I sent it out until I got it back.

I ordered one on the 4th and received it on the 14th. Give it a few more days. Definitely worth the wait!

Thanks for the info guys.
FYI: It’s not how long it takes, but rather the lack of lack of communication that concerned me.
It’s not my style to send someone money then “wait and see”

Bill seems to be a bit old school when it comes to technology and things like shipping notices.  Your trigger will just show up, that's all.

And if for some reason there is a problem, he will fix it.
