BCM upper RRA lower > AR Discussions

how well do they match up color and fit. Local store has a lower on sale very cheap.

Don't know about BCM, but I just yesterday put a Spikes upper on a brand new RRA lower and the upper was darker. fit perfectly thou and tight as a drum. I guess it might be a shade or two lighter. Probably no help, huh?

I think my BCM upper is a little darker than my RRA lower. The fit is ok on mine.

This is my 20" BCM upper with RRA lower. The fit is tighter than any of my others due to the RRA lower, but I can still take it apart without needing tools. I think the finish on the BCM is a little darker than the RRA lower, but I'm not sure because I don't pay attention to that.

I had a RRA pistol lower with a BCM upper and the RRA stuff seems to have a finish more like the lite Colt AR's have. BCM has more of a black duracoat finish on it. Just what I ran into though!

My BCM upper is a black that is almost glossy. My RRA lower is a matte/flat very dark grey. You can see the difference up close.

The fit is fine, the color is off a little, but I don't care about looks.

My BCM uppers match perfectly with my Spikes and Stag lowers. The RRA lower doesnt match that good.

Mine matches Doublestar lowers well - they are a deeper/glossier black due to the teflon finish over the anodizing.

Exact same results for a carbine that I put together for a buddy on a RRA striped lower.. Lower was a shade lighter.. Fit great though!

No, they don't match as far as color is concerned. Why does it matter if the color matches?

Fit is OK with only slight movement. Out of the box the BCM appeared to have a darker, oily sheen compared to the deep matt of the RRA but once together I can't tell and if someone else can they're looking too hard.
