I'm looking to get a 6.8 SPC upper, I plan to use it for varmint and deer. I understand its a drop in on any 5.56mm complete lower, except of course I would need a 6.8 SPC magazine.

Should be good medicine for deer and a bit expensive for varmints.

For me the AR in 6.8 is the perfect package for Whitetail, if your buying a complete upper than you only need 6.8 magazines.

Pretty much if it's a complete upper..just make sure the Bolt is a dedicated 6.8 bolt..IIRC, you can still use a standard 5.56 Bolt Carrier..

I just bought a Model 7 Stag Hunter for deer hunting and love it. You can't beat it for the price.
