I'm thinking about picking up an AR57 upper. How do you change mags? Is it slower than on a regular AR?

What other pros and cons are there to the AR57 upper? Sorry if it's a dupe, I just read the first 10 pages and didn't see anything.

There is a small pull lever behind the mag that you have to pull on to release the mag...then you lift the back end up off the receiver.

So you have to lower the weapon and it's a MPITA?

It definately takes loger than regular AR mag changes, but its not too bad. You will have to make sure to keep your optics from hanging over the mag, overhanging can make mag changes impossible.
