| I'm looking for a drop in style trigger. I've seen the Chip McCormick and the Timney units. Does anyone know of any others on the market. I'm havn't decided on 1 or 2 stage yet, But I would like something with a light trigger pull. ( adjustable ? ) Say around 3 pounds. I currently have a RRA 2 stage nat. match unit which I like well enough. I just would like to try something different. Any advise would be greatly appreciated. |

Having only shot the RRA two stage, what do you see as an advantage to the single stage? Its all about the SETUP pal, that one advantage is all you need imho when deciding over grabbing a one or two stage....i have some limited trigger time on a # 3.5 timney drop in, very crisp and clean trigger for sure, but you get the whole "setup" with a 2 stage.......You can be a little more ADHD those last critical few seconds before BANG, on the first stage all the little crap like "am i timing my breathing right" etc. is getting taken care of upstairs.....just in time for that glass break of the avg. #3 pull on the second. |

I build my guns for extreme duty use. I tried a Rock river and the second stage went south after 200 rounds. Now all my guns run stock G.I. single stage triggers. My latest build acouple of weeks ago I put a Geissele SSA two stage in there as it's the only trigger I have read about that meets my specs, we'll see how that works out.
Pretty much at this point the only two stage trigger I would consider would be one made by Geissele. |

I recently put in a Chip McCormick. I am extremely happy with it. Very nice 3.5lb single stage trigger. +1 for the Chip McCormick! Very well thought out drop in trigger, just used it earlier today and it was flawless yet again! This has over 2000 rounds through it now. Having only shot the RRA two stage, what do you see as an advantage to the single stage? For me it's the ability to shoot off the reset. With every two stage I've tried (RRA, Gieselle DMR and SSA, though I've heard one of those can be adjusted to do what I want), you have to pull through both stages for every shot. With a Timney or Wilson you can fire again as soon as you feel that click. I don't know if there's a two stage that allows you to fire from the reset, but if there is, I'd probably like one. A lot. Kinda like how a Glock trigger feels. |

| Purchased the Timney skeletonized single stage drop in with 3lb pull today. Can't wait to get it. Question, The Timney is a .154 pin size. I am currently using the oversized .1555 KNS Gen II pins on my RRA NM trigger. Can I use them or will I have to use .154 pins? |
| Is the Wilson in wide use yet? Hard to find any reviews yet. I have Geissele DMRs on most of my ARs but think I need something with a nice 2-3lb pull and a short reset for my main carbine. The DMR is one sweet trigger, but it does have a long reset. Great for precision shots, but think I'll go with the Wilson for my carbine if it proves to be durable as Geissele and has a short reset for rapid fire. |

Had to remove the sear block first but it was well work the effort. The McCormick replaced a Colt match trigger which had been on for about 20 years. HUGE difference, I'd install another one if the need arose. |
