Some weeks ago someone posted a super cheap complete lower being sold? Anyone remember where this is... or where one is? |
|
I don't know what's "super cheap". DSA has complete lowers for $180.

My 2 Aero lowers from that link I am not happy with.
Neither will handle and after market pistol grip that has extends up the rear of the receiver. The MOEs, Ergos, etc... The curvature of the rear is not low enough or something, so the grip screws on as tight as it will go, and there is still alot of play going back and forth. It is not usuable as a result. With the stock G.I. pistol grip that doesnt have an extended rear it is fine, but anything that is longer on the back and needs to rest against the rear curve of the lower will not match up. That is on 2 seperate receivers with 2 seperate grips, the MOE, and the Ergo. I would not recommend them at all. |

Any reason the DSA lower's are that low of a price? I get a little skeptical about things that seem like great deals. Perhaps you want to check out this thread: DS Arms blem'd lowers on sale |

Any reason the DSA lower's are that low of a price? I get a little skeptical about things that seem like great deals. It seems DSA's "MO" is still sell good quality stuff as a very reasonable price. They are doing this with their complete Uppers: (Parked $265, Nitrided $275, Middy $300, Chrome Lined $325) * Note there is a HUGE back-order (2-4 months) for Parked or Nitrided Uppers. It has been reported that Chrome and Middy's are shipping fast. Also note their fixed front sights are not F-Marked and people have reported having problems with getting them sighted in as the middle post is not long enough to compensate). They are doing this with their complete and stripped Lowers: (Complete $180, Blemished Stripped $60). * Note I received 5 Blem'd Stripped Lowers and NONE of them were blemished at all. These usually ship in a week from order) In general their other AR15 parts listed on their site are cheaper as well. I don't work for DSA I'm just a customer who has realized the general pattern they follow with their prices. Also keep in mind they are hammered with orders right now and their customer service is not so good at the moment. While they'll usually answer the phone after a couple tries they have a tendency to, accidental or not, hang up on you. You just gotta be persistent to get your order in if they are selling an item that requires a call into them for (Blem'd Lowers). |

I just called DSA to order a complete lower this morning. They are 2 to 3 weeks out on shipping them, so I decided to buy elsewhere. I am not comfortable with someone sitting on my CC info for an indefinite period of time, only to charge me when they get around to it.
I wish internet sellers understood this better and would abstain from trying to sell things they do not have in stock. |

I'm sure you can find one that will ship tomorrow, if you want to pay full price. I'm in no hurry, so I'll wait to save a few $$. |
