Seeking information on use of an offset pivot pin to attach standard uppers onto large pin Colt lower.
Proper installation details Pitfalls? Any advice to avoid the possibility of damage to upper or lower receiver pivot lugs when installing or after installing when pivoting the 2 receivers for field stripping the upper. Thanks Son of a Gun |
| The offset pins work but care must be taken when closing the upper if you feel it binding. On several occasions I have had this experience. Never force the upper closed. Re-align the offset pin so it doesn't bind, then close the upper. This isn't common but can happen. If you force the issue you can ruin the upper or the lower or both. |
