| Well I decided to install a MOE triggerguard on my DPMS last night. The roll pin was stuck like nobody's business! I read advice on soaking it with CLP and taking it slow while supporting the ear. But between my impatience and the zero movement of the pin once it got about a third of the way, I had broken the ear on my lower receiver. I have it now with the MOE installed, with the broken piece JB Welded and C clamped, waiting to dry. Lesson learned. |

Unfortunately many of us, myself included, have to learn the hard way when it comes to understanding the importance of patients while working on guns. As you stated, let it be a lesson. The easiest solution to your current problem would be buying an MIAD and using the front strap with the integrated trigger guard. |

Bummer, sorry that happened to you, I did mine with vice grips with electrical tape on them with the trigger gaurd between the ears for support, went pretty smooth! |

Thanks for the suggestion on the miad grip. I didn't know it had an integrated trigger guard option. |
