| Is the CMMG 'full-auto' BCG good to go? Any known problems? |

Saxman you are an AR expert, answer you're own question! If you have any doubt buy a BCM BCG! I'm actually a saxophone expert |

"I'm actually a saxophone expert . Even if I were an AR expert, it would be wise to ask before spending money on a product with which I am unfamiliar. I had to make a quick decision and I'm grateful for the fast responses. I had ordered a CMMG upper without BCG, because I had bought a Colt M16 BCG advertised as 'very good plus'. It arrived today and turned out to be 'very well used'. It looked like two tours in the sandbox. The locking lugs were all rounded-off, the bolt would just about fall out and the rails on the carrier were worn down and sharp-edged from wear. I'm getting a refund, but I had to tell CMMG whether or not to throw in a BCG, which I did. "
Ok, I'm a retired guitar player/Tool & Die maker. I hope you didn't spend much for that wore out old Colt BCG. I got my Colt BCM in a Colt M16A2 (20")surplus upper, it wasn't too worn. I have a CMMG F/A BCG that has a very low round count. It came with my CMMG upper, otherwise I would have used one of my spare FNMI BCG's that I picked up at a gun show. I think, for the money, you would do much better getting a BCM or CMT BCG. As long as you didn't pay extra for it, you should be ok. My CMMG F/A BCG looks like it is well made. Shoot the crap out of it! Which upper did you get? I bought a 14.7". |
