[ARCHIVED THREAD] - Question about mismatched upper/lower

Hello:

I have an old school Colt upper that I put on a modern lower receiver. There is about a 1/16 or a little more gap between the upper and lower. Do you think it is safe to fire and would be a reliable shooter?
