Purchased a Timney trigger for my Colt Match Target H-Bar not knowing that some modifications would need to be done to install the trigger. It's not a drop in type installation which I thought it would be. What am I looking at to do this job?  I don't want to be grinding on anything to get this done. Whats the feeling on doing this. I need some advice. I also have a Timney trigger for a Bushmaster to install. But if I cant have matching trigger pull I'll just keep them as is.

Timney makes a large hole  trigger for the Colt. Does yours have that sear block in it?

My HBAR is post ban/ no sear block. Had gunsmith install the timney on mine. He had it for half a day and charged me $50 in 2005. It is sweet.

if you don't have a 'sear block' it is a real simple task.  The only aggravating part is getting the allen head screws in after you install the trigger.  You need something to hold the trigger springs off to the side to get the screw started.  Other than that it is a 5 minute job.

My H-Bar is only 6 years old. Not sure if it has a sear block. If it dose not, then it should just drop in (correct) I hate to have to pay someone for something I could do. How do I tell?

Thanks for the info. I took out my trigger and the Timney DROPPED in. Got nervous for nothing.
