Can someone please schhol me on buffer tubes. When and why you would need a long or short. Also are hydrolic tubes any good?

Short Buffer tubes are for collapsible stocks and longer ones are for A1 & A2 Fixed stocks.

The UBR comes with it's own proprietary tube. It is neither a rifle or a carbine tube.

when i purchase a UBR all i need is a buffer and a spring, correct? if so i already have the buffer that came with my LMT CQB MRP, what spring should i look at?

You just need a carbine action spring.
