I have a DPMS lower w/ a RRA 2-stage match grade trigger.  The upper is a CMMG 16" Free Floated Bull Barrel 1/9 twist and I can hold a 5 shot group @ 100 off a bench that can be covered w/ a quarter.  There is one thing that i don't like about this gun and that is the weight of it.  Lately I have been thinking about buying a 16" CMMG M4 chrome lined barrel w/ 1/7 twist.   Will I get the same accuracy out the M4 barrel that I will with the bull barrel?

A pict of my setup....... Since the pict I've added a riser to the scope cause it set wayyyyy to low.

No, but it will be combat effective. The groups should be tight enough but prolly not as tight as you're getting with the other barrel.

the noveske N4 Light barrels are supposed to approach 3/4" groups based on some users, but there are also reports of larger groups as well.  Barrels will be hit or miss, but discussion with people that know more than I do led me to purchase the Noveske barrel.

Another barrel to consider is the BCM SS410 or the Sabre Defense offerings (fluted).

Hopefully by the weekend I will have a report on the accuracy of my barrel and my shooting.

I wonder if I got a 1/9 or 1/10 twist if that would help.  I like precision and it is a must, if i just want to spray bullets I'll grab the mini-14.
From the sounds of things I maybe stick'n w/ the bull barrel.

Bravo Company Stainless Steel barrel or upper assembly.

You will in all likelyhood not get the same accuracy from a government/M4 profile chrome lined barrel as you will a HBAR.

I would recommend checking out the Sabre Defence offereings.  They make some stainless fluted barrels that are supposed to be pretty good.  I have never shot one, but their chrome lined barrels are one of my favorite.

If your current barrel is working for you, why not get someone like Adco to reprofile it to a lighter weight?  Cheaper than buying a new barrel, and you don't know if your next barrel will be as accurate as the one you have now.  Just saying...   If you're dead set on getting another barrel, I've been very impressed with my Noveske Afghan 14.5" SS barrel.  It definately out performs my shooting ability, and its not real heavy either.
