| Hello. I own a Stag M4gery with upgrades (Omega rail, CTR, Aimpoint, etc.). I have not had a problem and I am very happy with my purchase. I'm also just about finished with my first build. All it needs is the BCG. I've done my research and on here and I'm going to get one from BCM. My Stag is and will be the rifle I use the most. My question is, should I replace the BCG from my Stag with a BCM full auto one and use the one in my Stag in my build or should I leave well enough alone. |
| My opinion: If the Stag runs well, stake the key properly and leave the BCG that it works with, in it. Get the Full Auto BCG for the build, and let all the new parts break in together. No sense breaking in a new bolt on a functioning gun and putting a worn bolt in a new gun. |

Why is the BCM now the magic part for all rifles? People wasting money changing working BCGs for no reason.
Keep the Stag BCG in the rifle it came in and buy a new BCG for the build. If you have a question about the staking post a photo here and get opinions. IF it needs to be re-staked than just do it. No matter what gun you put it in it will need properly staked bolts. |

Because it's a high quality bolt at an extremely reasonable price and it never hurts to have a spare bolt. And, upgrading to a quality bolt is the single best upgrade you can make to a commercial grade rifle reliability wise. |

Is this properly staked? http://i196.photobucket.com/albums/aa62/murf214/P1010047.jpg The top chisel/screwdriver type staking used by Stag / CMT acts more as a witness mark than a stake job, I would improve the staking on that if it were mine. |
