After about 5k-6k rounds I need to replace my Bushmaster FCG because the hammer is following the BCG home. I replaced the disconnector spring, but the problem has become progressively worse. Any brand suggestions? I'm more concerned with reliability than trigger pull.

The disconnector itself may be damaged. You may want replace it before investing in a new FCG.

Have you contacted Bushmaster?  They may fix it for you (though you may need to ship the rifle).  Alternatively, I'd suggest a CMMG LPK (good idea to have the spare parts anyway), or an LWRCi enhanced FCG (which are very nice IMO).

Good luck!

With 5k rounds through the gun, he is on his own. Time to learn how to install a FCG op, check out build it yourself.

I would suggest a Geissele Super Semi-Automatic (SSA) Trigger.
