Nice build, but I think you should nix the CQ/T optic and go with an Aimpoint.

Aimpoints are a great RDS in fact the best but maybe he wants more versatility than a RDS can provide. A good low power scope is more versatile than a Aimpoint even an Aimpoint with a magnifer. However I would chose a TR24, Meopta, Swarovski Z6i or a S&B short dot over the Leupold. The Leupold does not have daylight illumination, it has a small field of view and i thas not ranging reticle.

I agree totally with that IF you are looking for magnification. In addition to those scopes I'll add the Burris XTR 1-4.

Did you have any problems with the front pivot pin going through?  Got mine last week, and have tried it on four different uppers.  Two have Rock River lower kits, and the other two have DPMS kits.  None of the pivot pins will go though the upper.  Suggestions anyone?

Thanks for the opinions, I've gotten several and I've taken all of them under advisement. Basically what I'm trying to do to is to make an AR that can be used in any situation i.e cqb, mid-range shooting, hunting, home defense.. even though that's what my .45 is for, but anyways you all get the picture. So far I feel that this optic will fit all those criteria.

As for the pins I have had no problems with mine, I would just contact Daniel Defense and see if they could help you trouble shoot or fix the problem for you.

Try moving your light to 12:00 in front of the FSB, you'll have almost no shadowing and if your sights are on target your light will be clear as well.

Paint it.
