| I've heard this term used before but don't have a clue what it is.......could anyone explain too me what is meant by "Straw Purchase"? |
| ATF allows purchases as a gift. So you can buy a firearm for someone else as long as you don not knowingly buy for someone prohibited from owning a firearm. Straw Purchase as mentioned is buying for someone knowingly that can not own a firearm so as that person does not have to go through a backround check. |
